All in all, I really enjoyed the characters and their humor, except Agatha.īaz was the most interesting character in the book. I also really enjoyed the way that the characters talked and interacted. I really liked the way that the characters developed over the course of the book (except Agatha, I hated Agatha). I could tell that this was based on Potter/Malfoy but it branched off into a whole new direction. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot and the setting. ![]() It started off similar and then it changed, a lot. I went into this book thinking that this would be some lame Harry Potter rip off. Baz would be having a field day with all this if he were here - it’s their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon’s infuriating nemesis didn’t even bother to show up. ![]() His mentor’s avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there’s a magic-eating monster running around, wearing Simon’s face. Half the time, Simon can’t even make his wand work, and the other half, he starts something on fire. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably right. Simon Snow is the worst Chosen One who’s ever been chosen. ![]()
